As part of my effort to help you get to know our staffing firm better, I spoke with one of our recruiters about what she likes about staffing, working with employers and job seekers, and more. Meet Jennifer Deberry. She works out of our office in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Jennifer � mom to three daughters, lover of working out (she enjoys swimming, walking, and core fitness), and resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hired in March 2013. Has been in staffing for five years.
ME: What made you want to get into staffing?
Jennifer: Prior to being a recruiter, I was a scheduling coordinator. As a scheduling coordinator I worked my way into Human Resources as an assistant, then climbed the ladder.
Why recruiting? I feel like I was made for this. When a recruiter recruited me as an HR assistant, I found that I loved recruiting. I was contacting candidates for my recruiter at the time and I enjoyed getting to know them and the client.
What do you like most about your job? I love people and I love solving the puzzle of finding the right position for each candidate and the right candidate for each client.
Why Bear Staffing (no pressure)? I love working for Bear Staffing mainly because of the clients. And you and Sherri [our CEO and President] let me work independently. The recruiters we have at Bear Staffing love what they do.

What's a typical day here are Bear like for you? I don't think I have a text-book day —ever — at Bear Staffing. I can say I enjoy each and every day I come to work. I am happy to be part of the Bear Staffing Team.
What would you say are your best qualities? I'm very personable, reliable, and a self-starter.
We work hard here at Bear, but we like to have some fun, too. Do you have any interesting or fun stories you want to share about your time spent here thus far?
Well, a client of Bear Staffing called when it was extremely busy and asked me a “quick question,” as he put it. He asked if I was ever gemologist? I told him no and asked why. He told me it was because “I rock.” Haha. That made me smile!
