Awesome Apps: focus@will

Posted June 23 2014

Sometimes it can be tough to truly focus on your task at hand at work. We are constantly distracted by little things like a dog barking outside or people passing by your office and so on. To increase productivity and focus, we are focusing on a wonderful app called focus@will. This app offers neuroscience based music selections which will help to increase your attention span.

How does it work?
Studies show that most people can only concentrate for around 100 minutes before they tend to stop focusing and need to take a break. With this app, you can stay rooted in your project for longer periods of times. Every piece of music that you listen to from focus@will is chosen specifically to influence your brain into focusing on your work and not your distractions. If you are interested in learning about the science and research that goes behind this app, check out their science primerpage.

How much does it cost?
Focus@will is free for trial. They will give you unlimited 60 minute focus sessions, the ability to look through different music channels to find the right fit for you and an app that you can use on your phone so you can focus on the go. However, they do offer upgraded plans which include, a tracker that shows your productivity, a customizable productivity session, you can login on more than one device and unlimited music access.

Do you need to work in silence or with background music? Share on our Facebook page, what you listen to get into your work flow.
